Up until 1697 ‘All Swans are White’ was a well-known ‘scientific truth.’ Then… Black Swans were discovered in Australia.   Oops.

The same ‘scientific truth’ can be observed today in the polysilicon industry. Current producers are spending billions of dollars building new polysilicon plants based on the old Siemens process. They ‘know’ this is the best way. But… there is a Black Swan.

We have invented a new (patent pending) liquid medium polysilicon purification process. Once commercialized, this process is going to be very cost competitive with any existing process, no matter what it is or where it is. 

Just as the Siemens process replaced earlier methods, our process may replace Siemens. 

We run the reaction in a solvated state in a liquid medium at close to room temperature. The process runs in minutes. We have successfully produced samples in the lab. 

The process may be able to be run on a continuous basis rather than a batch basis. We may also be able to generate a continuous monocrystalline output. 

It needs to be optimized and scaled up.
