POLYSILICON and RARE EARTHS

Up until 1697 ‘All Swans are White’ was a well-known ‘scientific truth.’ Then… Black Swans were discovered in Australia.  Oops.

The same ‘scientific truth’ can be observed today in the polysilicon industry. Current producers are spending a billion dollars apiece building new polysilicon plants based on the old Siemens process. They ‘know’ this is the best way. But… there is a Black Swan.

WHAT WE'VE GOT

We have invented a new (patent pending) liquid medium polysilicon purification process. Once commercialized, this process is going to be very cost competitive with any existing process. It is a greener process. It uses probably 70% less electricity.

But Now…This Changes Everything

Section 232 is Signed

President Trump signed an order on August 6, which sets minimum import prices at every stage of the PV supply chain.

Imported products cannot go below these prices

Why This Matters

Using our liquid purification process, we can potentially produce ingots or wafers for the same cost as producing polysilicon.

Just as the Siemens process replaced earlier methods, our process may replace Siemens, and the Czochralski and the wafer slicing.

We run the reaction in a solvated state in a liquid medium at room temperature. The process runs in minutes. We have successfully produced multigram samples.

The process is projected to be able to be run on a continuous basis rather than a batch basis.

This process will also work for refining rare earths.   Mighty important these days.

It needs to be optimized and scaled up. A perfect application for AI, to reduce the time required and cost.

WHAT'S NEXT

We wish to partner with a company with sufficient resources to complete the development of this process or sell the process outright.

It is worth the risk.
